1. Classification of respiratory failure
Hypoxemic respiratory failure (type I)
- PaO2 น้อยกว่า 60 mm Hg with a normal or low PaCO2.
- This is the most common form of respiratory failure
- Ex : cardiogenic or noncardiogenic pulmonary edema, pneumonia, and pulmonary hemorrhage.
Hypercapnic respiratory failure (type II)
- PaCO2 มากกว่า than 50 mm Hg.
- Ex : drug overdose, neuromuscular disease, chest wall abnormalities
- Ex : severe airway disorders (eg, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease [COPD]).
2. Antipseudomonas antibiotic
-AntiPseudomonas Penicillin (Piperacillin, Pip-tazo, Ticar-Clav, Ticarcillin)
-AntiPseudomonas Ceph (Ceftazidime, Cefepime)
-imipenem,meropenen, tobramycin, ciprofloxacin, aztreonam
